TikTok Shop: GTIN missing
'GTIN' missingWhat's happening
The product has no GTIN, and TikTok's Catalog Manager diagnostic dashboard flags it as a data-quality issue. GTIN is a strongly encouraged identifier for catalog products: missing it does not block publishing the way a missing required field does, but it lowers catalog quality and can limit eligibility and matching. The dashboard reports it alongside other missing-attribute flags like "Google product category" missing and "Additional image link" missing.
gtinManual fix
Add the GTIN (the barcode number, often on the packaging or in the manufacturer catalog) to each flagged product and map it to the gtin attribute, then re-upload the feed or wait for the next scheduled fetch. Check the Diagnostics tab in Catalog Manager to see the full affected-item list.
Fix it with Emberfeed
If you already store EAN or UPC values in another field, a mapping rule writes them into the gtin attribute for every product at once, no per-SKU edits. Honest limit: when a product has no GTIN at all, Emberfeed cannot invent one, the code has to come from your data or the manufacturer.
