Meta Catalog: Universal IDs are missing

Error message
Universal IDs Are Missing: brand, gtin, mpn

What's happening

The product has none of brand, GTIN, or MPN, and Meta needs at least one universal identifier for an e-commerce item. This is a warning, not a hard reject: the product still lists, but its ad and Shop performance is limited and match quality drops. Meta recommends a GTIN where one exists, an MPN when it does not, and brand as the minimum fallback. It is the Meta counterpart of Google's "limited performance due to missing identifier" warning.

Manual fix

Add at least one identifier to each flagged product in your CMS, mapping it to g:brand, g:gtin, or g:mpn, then re-export. Where a real GTIN or MPN exists (often on the packaging or the manufacturer datasheet), use it; otherwise set brand so the item clears the at-least-one rule.

Fix it with Emberfeed

If you already hold the value in another field (an EAN column, a metafield, a custom_label), a mapping rule writes it into g:gtin or g:brand across every product at once. Honest limit: if a product genuinely has no brand and no manufacturer code, Emberfeed cannot fabricate one, the identifier has to come from your data or the manufacturer.
